The Circle

How rotating savings actually works

Formation

Members commit to saving together

Six trusted people agree to pool money every month. Susu in Ghana, Njangi in Cameroon, Tandas in Mexico, Stokvel in South Africa, the name changes, the idea doesn't. Everyone contributes, everyone gets a turn.

Contribution

Each month, everyone pays $200 into the pool

Money flows from all six members into one secured pool at the center, automatically, on the agreed date. No reminders. No awkward texts. $200 × 6 members = $1,200 in the pool.

The Pool Fills

Contributions stack up, visibly

Every deposit is verified and visible to every member. The pool fills layer by layer as money arrives. There are no surprises, no missing contributions, just a clear, accumulating balance.

The pool is sealed until payout day

Once contributions are complete, RAITON holds the $1,200 securely. Nobody, not even the admin, can touch it early. The funds sit verified, secured, and scheduled for release on a specific date.

On the agreed date, the full amount is released to Amara. She paid $200. She receives $1,200, six months of her savings, pooled together and delivered at once. Guaranteed. Never less than promised.

How the score works

The Smart Financial Reliability Score is a behavioral financial metric built from rotating savings activity, the one form of financial discipline that traditional credit has never been able to see. It builds automatically as you participate in circles. And it travels with you, to lenders, to new circles, to any institution that needs to know it can count on you.

Co-Founder & CEO

Uriel Azong

Uriel’s background spans finance, investment analysis, and early-stage company building. Completing a Master’s in Innovation & Entrepreneurship at UC Irvine’s Merage School of Business, he brings the financial rigor of capital markets work with the product instinct of someone who has lived inside the tradition he’s building for. His experience inside savings circles as both a contributor and an admin shaped his understanding of where the infrastructure has always been missing.

Prince Funwie

Prince comes from systems reliability engineering at General Motors, where the job is building infrastructure that performs under real-world conditions, at scale, without failure. Holding an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, he brings that discipline to RAITON’s technical foundation: the circle logic, the contribution architecture, and the systems that handle real financial activity.
